What to Expect on a First Visit

Although chiropractic care is unlikely to produce miracles, we do see exceptional outcomes from patients who follow our protocols.  Most patients visit us for a short series of treatment ending with a tailored plan to prevent recurrence or flare ups.  

 A FIRST VISIT MAY INCLUDE:

INTAKE

  • Our staff greets you with a warm and professional welcome
  • We make a copy of your driver's license and insurance card(s) {if applicable}.  
  • We provide Patient Forms for you to complete. These forms provide us with health history and information on your condition as well as financial and privacy policies.

CONSULTATION

  • It is always free of charge
  • We provide detailed information regarding chiropractic coverage according to your insurance policy
  • Our chiropractic physicians will discuss your condition, concerns, expectations and goals for care.

EXAMINATION

  • It is only performed with your consent; our spine care experts perform high-quality physical, orthopedic and neurological exams.
  • Exam procedures check for what is working, what is not, and if we can determine different structures or tissues involved in the problem. 
  • Exam procedures also rule out cases that may not be appropriate for us to treat. 

DIAGNOSTICS

  • Digital radiographs help our physicians develop the most effective treatment plan
  • Digital radiographs alert our physicians of any serious or dangerous spinal conditions
  • We also refer patients for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), CT scans or other imaging modalities when necessary


TREATMENT

  • Patients receive full treament on their first visit including manipulation and appropriate therapy modalities
  • Our physicians work in short term treatment blocks- usually 2 weeks.
  • Re-evaluation is performed after a 2 week plan.
  • Patients learn stretching and strengthening exercises at appropriate intervals during the treatment plan. 
  • Patients receive a report on their first visit explaining their condition, what they can do the help themselves, what we can do to help, and much more.
