Dr. Dower grew up in central Kansas with a passion for athletics. He went to Sterling College to play basketball and soccer and earned a Bachelor of Science  in Exercise Science. He then moved to Birmingham, AL, with his wife, Sarah, where he started his professional life in fitness and IT. While working in IT, he found himself continually drawn back to health and wellness-related work. Knowing his passion, his wife encouraged him to pursue his Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
He went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Life University’s College of Chiropractic program. During his time at Life University, Dr. Dower found his niche in the Motion Palpation Institute and Sports Chiropractic Club, where he continued to learn the nuances of conservative treatment. He spent time in leadership with both those organizations and helped train other students in the art of carefully assessing patients to uncover what treatment might be most effective, and how to leverage a broad understanding of the human body to treat and manage musculoskeletal complaints conservatively.
In addition to the national board exam for Doctor of Chiropractic, he has also sat for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) exam to receive his Certified Strength Conditioning Specialist certification. He was also certified as a provider for Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (FAKTR). In addition, he studied Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) to utilize the principles of developmental kinesiology to assess and treat his patients. Dr. Dower enjoys using his understanding of how helping the human body perform optimally allows people to thrive.
After school, Dr. Dower went in search of like-minded chiropractic physicians who utilize thorough assessment protocols and evidence-based treatment strategies to give the absolute best musculoskeletal care possible. That led him to Drs. Rod Sones and Brad Russell at Pillar Chiropractic and Rehab who were not only leading that charge but making it possible for young doctors to get involved.
In Dr. Dower's spare time, he loves serving in his church, spending time with his family, coaching his sons’ sports teams, and lifting weights.
