Dr. Carter was born and raised in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Alabama A&M University. She went on to earn her master’s in Biology, also from A&M. Upon graduating in 2007, she spent several years working with the Tennessee Valley Authority where she served as an Environmental Technician in the Health and Safety Office. Her love for education and helping others feel better led her to chiropractic. Dr. Carter earned her Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University and began her career in Birmingham. In 2023, Dr. Carter joined Pillar Chiropractic and Rehab primarily due to its principles of evidence-based care as well as providing a combination of adjustments and modalities that have proven to be more effective and more beneficial to patients. As a former athlete and musician, she enjoys music and sports in her free time.
